Scooter Rider Seriously Injured in Allied Gardens Crash
San Diego, California: A 36-year-old man riding an electric scooter was hit and seriously injured by a car early Tuesday morning in San Diego’s Allied Gardens neighborhood.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident occurred just after 1 a.m. at Delbarton Street and Zion Avenue.
The scooter rider reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and got hit by a 2012 Toyota Camry.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital with cerebral hemorrhage, pneumothorax, and other internal injuries.
The 53-year-old man driving the Camry was not injured.
Police are investigating the accident.
