Sergio Leon and Maria Ayers Killed in Fresno Car Accident at Parlier and Buttonwillow
Fresno County, California – The California Highway Patrol has identified two people who were killed in a crash on Monday afternoon near Reedley in Fresno County.
The fatal crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at Parlier and Buttonwillow Avenues, according to the CHP.
40-year-old Maria Ayers of Fresno was driving a car eastbound on Parlier when she collided with a truck headed north on Buttonwillow.
Ayers died while being taken to the hospital for treatment.
A passenger in the eastbound car, 58-year-old Sergio Medina Leon of Fresno, died at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
