Shane Gibson Killed in Long Beach Motorcycle Accident on Bellflower Blvd
Long Beach, California – A motorcyclist who died after being hit by a car in Long Beach on Thursday afternoon in Long Beach has been identified.
The fatal collision happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Bellflower Boulevard near Anaheim Road, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A 60-year-old Cypress woman was driving a 2015 Honda Civic northbound on Bellflower when she swerved into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2019 Honda CBR600 motorcycle operated by Shane Lee Gibson, 49.
Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The driver of the Civic was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
