Sheriff-Coroner Identifies Rancho Cucamonga Woman Killed in Crash at Hermosa Ave and 6th Street

Rancho Cucamonga, California: 34-year-old Brenda Kimberly Jimenez, of Rancho Cucamonga, was the woman who died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Rancho Cucamonga, the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner reported.

The wreck occurred around 5:25 p.m. at Hermosa Avenue and 6th Street.

Authorities said a 37-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man was driving a black Nissan Rogue south on Hermosa when he attempted to make a left turn onto 6th and collided with a black Mercedes CLS driven north on Hermosa by a 57-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman as it approached the intersection.

The Nissan Rogue was sent by the force of the impact into the traffic control signal pole on the northeast corner of the intersection.

Jimenez was a passenger in the Nissan and died at the scene.

Both drivers and another passenger in the Nissan were taken to Pomona Valley Hospital by American Medical Response with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
