Temecula, California – A Riverside County Sheriff’s deputy was injured in a traffic collision that happened on Thursday evening in Temecula.
The accident happened at around 4:50 p.m. on Highway 79 at Pacific Sunset Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A sheriff’s patrol car reportedly collided with a car in unclear circumstances.
A deputy was trapped inside the patrol vehicle and had to be extricated before being taken to a regional trauma center for treatment.
