Silvino Garcia Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident at Elm St. and McKendrie St.

San Jose, California – Silvino Eloy Garcia, 59, has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as a pedestrian who died after being hit by a car last month in San Jose.

The pedestrian accident happened at around 6:11 p.m. on January 22, at Elm Street and McKendrie Street, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Garcia was walking across McKendrie when he was struck by a garbage truck that was turning from Elm onto McKendrie.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he died on January 26.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
