Six Students Hurt in Crash Involving Coachella Valley Unified School Bus
Rancho Mirage, California: Six students were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident involving a school bus that happened Tuesday afternoon in Rancho Mirage.
The pileup was reported around 12:45 p.m. on Ramon Road near Bob Hope Drive.
A Coachella Valley Unified School bus carrying students from Desert Mirage High School and two other cars were involved in the crash.
Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews responded to the scene.
Seven people, including six students, were hospitalized following the crash. One of the students said she hurt her foot hitting the inside of the wall of the bus, others had a little bit of nausea, and others just felt a little anxious. An occupant of one of the other cars suffered minor to moderate injuries.
The students were returning from a field trip out of the area.
