Skateboarder Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Santa Ana Identified
Santa Ana, California: 23-year-old Peter Bryan Duran Morquecho died in a skateboard accident that happened Wednesday afternoon in Santa Ana.
According to the authorities, the incident was reported around 5:30 p.m. on Main Street near 15th Street.
The Santa Ana Police Department said Morquecho was riding his skateboard southbound along the western curb of Main Street when he was hit by a car also traveling south.
The rider fell to the ground unconscious. The Orange County Fire Authority responded and transported the victim to the hospital, where he later died from the injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The cause of the accident was not immediately established.
An investigation is ongoing.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
