Sonoma Woman Killed in Lakeville Highway Crash Identified
Petaluma, California: 79-year-old Beverly Kleven of Sonoma was the woman who died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Petaluma.
Authorities said the accident occurred around 12:20 p.m. on Lakeville Highway at Pine View Way.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said Kleven was driving an SUV traveling north on Pine View when she turned left onto westbound Lakeville and got hit on the driver’s side door by a sedan heading east.
Kleven was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 22-year-old man driving the sedan was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The SUV sustained major driver’s side damage, and the sedan acquired significant damage to its front.
The driver of the sedan did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
