Student Injured in Santa Maria Pedestrian Accident at Hummel Drive at Union Valley Parkway
Santa Maria, California – A 16-year-old Righetti High School student was injured after being hit by a car on Thursday morning in Santa Maria.
The pedestrian accident happened on Hummel Drive at Union Valley Parkway at around 7:40 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The student was walking in the pedestrian crosswalk and was struck by an eastbound vehicle.
The victim was injured in the accident and was transported to Marian Medical Center before being airlifted to Madera Children’s Hospital.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
