Taylor Bustos Killed in Concord Car Crash on Highway 4 near 680 Freeway
Contra Costa, California – Taylor Bustos, 31, has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner’s office as the man who was killed in a car crash in Concord on Thursday evening.
At around 5:50 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic collision on eastbound Highway 4 near Interstate Highway 680.
A silver Toyota Camry had stopped on the highway because of traffic and was rear-ended by a gray Toyota Highlander.
The impact of the collision pushed the Camry forward into the concrete center divider before hitting a gray Mazda 3.
Bustos, a resident of Pittsburg, was driving the Camry and was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and passenger in the Highlander were treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the Mazda was unhurt.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
