Teen Killed in Car Crash on Highway 41 in Fresno County
Fresno County, California: An 18-year-old man died, and a woman was hospitalized after a car collision that happened Sunday night in Fresno County.
The wreck took place around 9 p.m. on Highway 41 at Mountain View Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old man was speeding in a Chevrolet Camaro northbound on the highway when he ran a red light and collided with a Nissan SUV.
The Camaro also struck a light pole, causing the vehicle to split into two pieces.
The teenager died in the crash.
A 34-year-old woman in the Nissan was hospitalized with minor injuries. Two children in the car were said to be OK.
Investigators are trying to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
