Thomas Monroe Killed in Head-On Crash on Old Highway 80 at Tierra Del Sol Road
San Diego, California – The California Highway Patrol has identified Thomas Eugene Monroe, 69, as the passenger killed in a head-on crash last month in San Diego.
The collision occurred on Old Highway 80 at Tierra Del Sol Road at about 1:03 a.m. on June 28.
Police a Toyota sedan operated by Dora Valencia Magana was heading eastbound when, for unknown reasons, it crossed into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into a Ford pickup truck that heading westbound on Old Highway 80 in Boulevard.
Monroe suffered fatal injuries and was declared dead at the crash site.
Magana also died in the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
