Toddler Fatally Injured by Vehicle on West Cypress Street in Santa Maria
Santa Maria, California – The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating a deadly collision that left a 1-year-old child dead on Sunday afternoon in Santa Maria.
The deadly crash was reported in the 600 block of West Cypress Street a while after 1:00 p.m.
Police officials, fire authorities and medics arrived at scene a while after call to respond to the crash site.
The toddler was taken to Marian Regional Hospital Medica Center where she was declared dead at the crash site.
It was not immediately known how the accident happened.
An investigation is underway.
