Travis Hunt Killed in Blythe Car Crash on Highway 95 near 6th Avenue
Blythe, California (May 11, 2023) – A Desert Hot Springs man who was killed in a car crash in Blythe on Wednesday night has been identified.
The crash was reported on southbound Highway 95 near 6th Avenue at around 8:23 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2002 Subaru Forester was traveling southbound on US 95 when it drifted into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a 2012 Jeep Wrangler.
24-year-old Travis Hunt was ejected from the Subaru and was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.
A 42-year-old Palm Desert woman who was a passenger in the Subaru was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
66-year-old Dianna Clinton, of Blythe, was driving the Jeep and was treated at the scene and released.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
