Trino Lopez Killed in Van Nuys Bicycle Accident at Van Nuys Boulevard and Calvert Street
Van Nuys, California (November 2, 2023) – 40-year-old Trino Lopez has been identified as the bicyclist who died after being struck by a car in Van Nuys on Monday night.
The fatal bicycle accident happened at Van Nuys Boulevard and Calvert Street at around 11:40 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was riding a bicycle southbound on Van Nuys when he was struck by a car traveling in the same direction.
The man became wedged under the vehicle and was dragged about a block.
Lopez was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
