Tuolumne County Coroner Identifies Sonora Man Killed in Crash on Tuolumne Road

Sonora, California: 89-year-old Natividad Deanda of Sonora was identified as the man who died in a traffic collision that happened Friday at an intersection in Sonora.

The accident took place in the afternoon at Tuolumne Road and Black Oak Road.

According to police, Deanda was driving a 1992 Toyota pickup truck when he came to a halt at the stop sign near the intersection. He then proceeded onto Tuolumne Road, directly into the path of a GMC Envoy driven by Janice Greengo of Jamestown.

Greengo was unable to stop on time and crashed into the pickup truck.

Deanda died from injuries sustained in the crash. He was not wearing his seatbelt.

Greengo was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
