Tyler Philip Killed in Stevens County Crash on US 395

Stevens County, California – A man was killed in a head-on collision that happened early Thursday morning near Loon Lake in Stevens County.

The accident was reported at around 12:35 a.m. on U.S. Highway 395, according to the Washington State Patrol.

27-year-old Tyler Philp, of Kettle Falls, was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry southbound in the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a 1994 GMC Sierra driven by 26-year-old Jaden Stevens, of Spokane Valley.

Philip died at the accident scene.

Stevens was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

A passenger in the GMC was injured but refused treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
