Valley Metro Bus Crashes into Mesa Home after Multi-Car Crash, Several Hurt
Mesa, Arizona: Several people were hospitalized after a Valley Metro bus crashed into a home after a multi-vehicle collision near Broadway Road and Stapley Drive Monday evening.
Authorities said at around 7 p.m., two vehicles and a pickup truck collided, and the bus driver veered off the road to avoid a crash. The bus ended up crashing into a nearby home.
About eight people sustained injuries in the accident. Two people inside the house were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. At least three passengers on the bus were also hospitalized for their injuries. At least three others were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Authorities said two occupants of the pickup truck fled the scene before law enforcers arrived.
An investigation is ongoing.
