Victims of Double Fatal Crash on Slauson Avenue and 5 Freeway in Commerce Identified
Commerce, California: The Medical Examiner’s office identified the two people who died in a car accident that happened Saturday morning in Commerce.
Madelynne Broyles, 19, and Luke Garcia, 19, were killed in the collision that took place around 7 a.m. at the Slauson Avenue off-ramp from the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a tan sedan that was stopped on the right shoulder at the off-ramp was involved in the collision. Two tow trucks were requested to respond to pick up vehicles for evidence, indicating that the crash could have involved more than one car.
Broyles and Garcia died at the crash scene.
An investigation is still ongoing.
