Victor Medina Dies After Bakersfield Car Accident on East Truxtun Avenue
Victor Medina Killed in Car Crash on East Truxtun Avenue
Bakersfield, California – A man killed in a traffic accident late last month in Bakersfield has been identified as Victor Medina, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The deadly collision occurred in the 1200 block of East Truxtun Avenue at about 11:14 p.m. on September 28.
Police said a man was heading west in a Dodge Durango when he rear-ended a second car that had halted along the north curb line.
Lorena DeLatorre, the second vehicle’s driver, was declared dead at the crash site.
Medina and a passenger in the second vehicle had critical injuries. He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries days after.
The Durango driver did not sustain any injuries following the collision.
Police believed alcohol and drugs played a role in the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
