Woman Airlifted after Lake Elsinore Crash on Ortega Highway
Lake Elsinore, California – A woman was seriously injured in a car crash that happened on Monday evening in unincorporated Lake Elsinore.
The crash was reported at around 8:30 p.m. on the 34400 block of Ortega Highway (Highway 74) at Rocky Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
An SUV and a car were involved in the wreck, but the circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately established.
Firefighters responded to the incident and extricated a woman who was trapped in the wreckage.
An air ambulance landed at the scene and airlifted the woman to the hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles sustained major damage in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
