Woman Dies at Hospital After Long Beach Pedestrian Accident at 7th Street and Stanley Avenue
Long Beach, California: A 33-year-old Long Beach woman who was critically injured after she was hit by an SUV about two weeks ago died from her injuries.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, Johnisha Brown died Tuesday after the July 20 crash at 7th Street and Stanley Avenue.
Brown was crossing the street outside a marked crosswalk when a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven eastbound on 7th Street by a 50-year-old Long Beach resident hit her.
Long Beach firefighters responded to the scene and took the victim to a hospital in critical condition.
Brown died Tuesday while receiving treatment for her injuries.
The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
