Woman Fatally Hit by Car in Costco Parking Lot in Surprise Identified
Surprise, Arizona: Authorities identified the woman who was fatally hit by a car Tuesday afternoon in a shopping center parking lot in Surprise as Carole Escajeda.
Authorities said the collision took place outside of a Costco near Waddell and Sarival roads.
According to the Surprise Police Department, Escajeda died from injuries sustained in the accident.
Investigators interviewed several witnesses and reviewed video footage of the accident and determined the driver was not impaired or driving recklessly. The motorist was released without any charges.
