Woman Fatally Struck by Car Thursday Night in Tucson

Tucson, Arizona: A 48-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle after she reportedly ran into traffic Thursday night in Tucson.

Police said the accident occurred around 9 p.m. on West Irvington Road near South Sixth Avenue.

The woman allegedly tried to run across West Irvington near a lighted crosswalk when she was hit by a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck.

The pedestrian died in the crash.

The 31-year-old woman driving the pickup truck stopped and remained at the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
