Woman Hurt After DUI Suspect Crashes into Puyallup Home
Puyallup, Washington: An 81-year-old woman was hospitalized after a DUI driver crashed into a home in Puyallup Thursday morning.
According to Puyallup police, the incident occurred in the 2100 block of 23rd Street Place Southeast.
Police said a 51-year-old driver lost control of their car and crashed into the home at the block.
An 81-year-old woman sleeping in the house at the time of the crash was hit.
The force of the impact sent the victim into another room, where she got pinned against the wall.
Other people inside the house rendered aid to the woman. She was then transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Police are investigating intoxication as a contributing factor.
