Woman in Crosswalk Hit, Seriously Injured by Car in Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa, California: A 56-year-old Santa Rosa woman was seriously injured in an auto-pedestrian accident that happened Sunday morning in Santa Rosa.

According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the incident was reported around 7:13 a.m. at Summerfield Road and Parktrail Drive.

Police officers and firefighters responded to the intersection after receiving reports of the crash.

When the responders arrived, they found a woman suffering from significant injuries after she was hit by a car as she crossed the street on a crosswalk.

The victim was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she was listed in critical but stable condition.

The driver of the car, a 79-year-old woman from Santa Rosa, stopped and called 911.

Investigators closed Parktrail for about three hours during an investigation.
