Woman Injured in San Diego Car Accident at Aviary Drive and Scripps Ranch Boulevard

San Diego, CA. – A 27-year-old woman was seriously injured in a car accident that happened in the Scripps Ranch area of San Diego on Thursday evening.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident happened around 6:51 p.m. in the 10000 block of Aviary Drive.

An 83-year-old woman was driving a 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 northbound on Scripps Ranch Boulevard and was turning onto Aviary Drive when she collided head-on with a 2014 Nissan Maxima driven by a 50-year-old man.

The female passenger of the Nissan was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
