Woman Injured in Santa Margarita Crash on Highway 101 near Tassajara Creek Rd
Santa Margarita, California – A woman was hospitalized with major injuries in a car accident that happened on Tuesday morning in Santa Margarita.
The accident happened around 8:50 a.m. on Highway 101 near Tassajara Creek Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An 83-year-old Cambria resident was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry east on Tassajara Creek Road when she pulled out onto Highway 101 and collided with a 2017 Honda Civic driven by a 47-year-old man.
The woman was seriously injured and was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
The man was hospitalized with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
