Woman Killed, 2 Men Injured in Santa Paula Crash on Highway 126

Santa Paula, California: A 29-year-old Santa Clarita woman died, and two men were injured in a head-on collision that happened Wednesday morning in Santa Paula.

The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred around 8:35 a.m. on Highway 126 near Boosey Road.

Investigators said a 35-year-old Santa Clarita man was driving a 2018 Honda Civic westbound on the highway with the Santa Clarita woman as his passenger.

For an unknown reason, the Honda drifted into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 1999 Ford F-150 driven by a 44-year-old man.

The woman died in the crash.

The two men were taken to Ventura County Medical Center with serious injuries after they were extricated from the wreckage.

Two other vehicles hit debris from the crash, but the occupants were not hurt.

Highway 126 was closed for hours following the deadly accident.
