Woman Killed, Another Injured in Highway 65 Crash in Tulare County

Tulare County, California: A woman died, and another person was hospitalized after a driver ran a red light and collided with another vehicle Saturday evening near Exeter.

The wreck took place just before 7 p.m. on Highway 65 at Marinette Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy Silverado was traveling east on Marinette Avenue when it ran a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 65 and collided with a Chevy Deluxe heading south on the highway.

A woman who was a passenger in the Deluxe died in the crash.

The driver of the Deluxe was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Authorities said the driver of the Silverado was not hurt.

Impairment was not considered to be a contributing factor.
