Woman Killed, Child Seriously Injured in Suspected DUI Crash in Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona: A woman died, and a child was seriously injured in a traffic collision Wednesday night on Interstate 10 in Phoenix.
According to Phoenix police, the accident occurred around 9:45 p.m. near the 51st Avenue overpass.
Responding emergency personnel rushed a woman and a child from one car to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. The woman later died at the hospital.
The male driver of the other car was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. He was determined to be the at-fault driver and is suspected to have been impaired at the time of the crash.
Police will book him into jail on multiple charges when he is released from the hospital.
