Woman Killed in Chula Vista Crash on Telegraph Canyon Road Identified
Chula Vista, California: Authorities identified the woman who died in a traffic collision on Telegraph Canyon Road in Chula Vista as 86-year-old Erlinda Young.
Young was the driver of a Honda Odyssey that collided with a Ford F-150 Monday afternoon on Telegraph Canyon Road at Old Telegraph Canyon Road.
Authorities said Young was making a left turn from Old Telegraph Canyon Road when her car collided with the Ford, which was driven eastbound on Telegraph Canyon Road by a 24-year-old man.
Young and her 83-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital for treatment, but she died from her injuries. Her passenger remained in critical condition.
The Ford driver was also hospitalized.
Police are investigating the accident but said intoxication was not believed to be a contributing factor.
