Woman Killed in Crash at North Oracle Road and West Genematas Drive in Tucson
Tucson, Arizona: 82-year-old Geraldine E. McAndrews died in a car accident that happened Wednesday morning at an intersection in Tucson.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the collision occurred at North Oracle Road and West Genematas Drive.
Police said McAndrews was driving a 2005 Ford Escape SUV south on Oracle when she attempted to turn left onto West Genematas Drive and collided with a BMW going north.
McAndrews was transported to Banner University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Several hours later, McAndrews died from her injuries.
The 49-year-old man driving the BMW was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
