Woman Killed in DUI Crash on Skyway in Paradise
Paradise, California – An 83-year-old woman was killed in a DUI car crash that happened on Sunday evening in Paradise.
The collision was reported around 4:43 p.m. on September 10, in the 9000 block of Skyway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
47-year-old James Brandon Slack of Magalia was driving a car eastbound on Skyway when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a car driven by an 83-year-old woman from Paradise.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Slack was arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
