Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident in Spokane
Spokane, Washington: A woman died after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday afternoon at an intersection in Spokane.
According to the Spokane Police Department, the incident was reported around 12:50 p.m. at Browne Street and Main Avenue.
A woman in her late 70s was walking in the area when she was struck by a gray- or Champagne-color Chevrolet Silverado full-size truck.
The driver of the truck fled the scene before authorities arrived.
The woman was transported to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Officers collected information from the scene, talked to witnesses, and sought video evidence from the neighborhood to help identify and trace the suspect.
