Woman Killed in Lakeville Crash on Lakeville Highway near Stage Gulch Road

Lakeville, California – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Lakeville on Tuesday afternoon.

The fatal collision was reported at around 2:40 p.m. on Lakeville Highway near Stage Gulch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was traveling southbound on Lakeville Highway when it drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The crash caused the Toyota to hit a Kia Sorrento SUV that was traveling behind the Chevy.

The Kia overturned, killing a female passenger.

The driver of the Kia was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of major injuries. The driver of the Toyota was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

The driver of the Chevy was determined to have been driving under the influence and was arrested and booked in the Sonoma County Jail.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
