Woman Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Accident at Atlantic Ave. and 28th St.

Long Beach, California – A woman died after being struck by a car at an intersection in Long Beach on Saturday evening.

The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Atlantic Avenue and 28th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman was in the intersection when she was struck by a car.

The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver of the car, 32-year-old Ronald Quispe, of Long Beach, allegedly initially fled the scene, but later returned and was cooperating with authorities. He was arrested and booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
