Woman Killed in Oakland Crash on Fruitvale Avenue
Oakland, California – A woman died in a rear-end collision that happened in Oakland on Sunday evening.
The deadly collision happened around 5:41 p.m. on the Fruitvale Avenue on-ramp to westbound Interstate Highway 580, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 67-year-old woman was driving a Volkswagen Beetle when she slammed into the rear of a Chevrolet SUV.
The woman was killed in the accident.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
