Woman Killed in Oxnard Plain Crash Identified
Ventura County, California: Authorities identified the 47-year-old woman who died in a two-vehicle collision that happened last week on the Oxnard Plain as Myrna Maldonado Ochoa.
The collision happened on October 17 on East Pleasant Valley Road at Laguna Road.
Authorities said Ochoa was driving a sedan that collided with an SUV. Both vehicles ended up in a drainage ditch after the impact.
Ochoa died of blunt trauma, the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
A 39-year-old Oxnard man riding as a passenger in Ochoa’s car was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries.
The SUV driver declined medical treatment for minor injuries.
Pleasant Valley Road was closed in both directions for about four hours following the collision.
