Woman Killed in Petaluma Crash on US 101 near Washington Street
Petaluma, California – A 90-year-old woman was killed in a car accident in Petaluma on Monday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 4:42 p.m. on northbound Highway 101 near East Washington Street.
The Cotati woman was driving a Honda CR-V northbound on US 101 when she crashed into the rear of a Range Rover.
The woman was taken to an area hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
The 48-year-old man from Petaluma who was driving the Range Rover was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
