Woman Killed in San Marcos Pedestrian Accident at Mission Road and Las Posas Road
San Marcos, Calif. – A 66-year-old woman died after being hit by a car on Thursday evening in San Marcos.
The fatal collision happened at the intersection of West Mission Road and North Las Posas Road at 7:43 p.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
A pedestrian was walking northbound through the crosswalk near the Palomar Sprinter Station and was struck by a westbound Toyota Tacoma.
San Marcos Fire and Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The 61-year-old man driving the Toyota stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
The San Marcos Traffic Unit is investigating the accident.
