Woman Killed in Sunday Morning Crash on Hwy 242 in Concord Identified
Concord, California: The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office released the name of the woman who died in a traffic collision Sunday morning as 62-year-old Cassandra Spain.
The two-vehicle collision transpired around 7:36 a.m. on Highway 242 near the Clayton Road exit.
Police said Spain’s Ford sedan collided with a BMW SUV under unclear circumstances as she was traveling southbound.
Spain was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was not hurt.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
