Woman Killed in University Park Pedestrian Accident at Adams Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue
University Park, California – An elderly woman was killed and another was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection near University Park on Thursday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Police Department says the fatal accident happened around 1:20 p.m. at Adams Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue.
A white van was backing out of a driveway onto a private property when it struck two elderly women.
One of the two women was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second pedestrian was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
More details about the crash were not immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
