Visalia, California – A woman died after being struck by a car that was backing out of a driveway on Tuesday morning in Visalia.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened on the 3900 block of West Vine Avenue at around 9:30 a.m., according to the Visalia Police Department.
A vehicle reportedly backed out of a driveway and struck a woman crossing its path on the sidewalk.
The unidentified woman was transported to an area hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
The driver of the car stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
