Woman Killed Last Month in Santa Paula Crash Identified

Santa Paula, California: Authorities identified the woman who died last month in a traffic collision on Highway 126 in Santa Paula as Angelica Vasquez Reyes, 59, of Fillmore.

The collision occurred around 11:15 a.m. on November 26 near the Peck Road on-ramp.

Authorities said Reyes was driving a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup truck westbound in the rain when the truck spun out and veered into the path of a 2014 Mercedes-Benz ML 350 SUV.

Her vehicle was t-boned by the SUV on the driver’s side door, sending both cars into the metal guardrail of the center median.

Reyes was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment but she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the SUV, a 40-year-old Santa Paula woman, was treated for minor injuries.

CHP is investigating the crash.
