Woman Killed, Man Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Fresno
Fresno, California: A woman died, and a man was hospitalized in critical condition after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday night in Fresno.
At around 9 p.m., police officers attempted to pull over a car that was driving without lights near Gettysburg Avenue and First Street.
The driver sped off into a residential area near Fashion Fair Mall.
The car jumped the curb into a park near Santa Ana Avenue and hit a man in his 30s and a woman.
The driver continued driving and then hit a pole near Thesta Street and Santa Ana Avenue.
All occupants inside the car got out and ran.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was hospitalized in critical condition.
Police are investigating the collision.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
65-Year-Old Kenneth Joseph McLeod Dies in Irvine Crash at Alton Parkway and Foster
Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
