Woman Killed, Several Injured After Driver Reportedly Runs Stop Sign in Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona: A woman died, and several others were hospitalized after a driver reportedly ran a stop sign early Sunday morning at an intersection in Phoenix, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 4:15 a.m. at 79th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
The collision involved a pickup truck occupied by two adults and two children, and a car occupied by a woman and a man.
The driver of the pickup truck was traveling northbound on 79th Avenue when, they reportedly, ran the stop sign at Lower Buckeye Road and collided with the car.
The woman in the car died at the crash scene. Authorities said she was in her 20s.
The man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The occupants of the pickup truck were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
