Woman on Electric Bicycle Fatally Hit by Vehicle in Westminster
Westminster, California: A woman in her 60s riding an electric bicycle Thursday evening was hit and killed by a car near an intersection in Westminster, authorities said.
The incident was reported around 5:40 p.m. near Brookhurst Street and Bolsa Avenue.
Westminster police officers responded to the area after receiving reports of the crash and found a woman lying down in the roadway with injuries.
Orange County Fire Authorities paramedics arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Investigators said the victim was riding an electric bicycle when she was hit by an unknown car.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
