According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the work accident occurred around 10:40 a.m. at Berth 270 on Terminal Island in San Pedro.
Emergency crews responded and found the victim, a man in his 30s, trapped under a forklift.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
